After a Wisconsin supreme court ruled the new budget bill that begins to take apart collective bargaining as in effect and valid: Labor Groups Ask Federal Court to Block Wisconsin’s Anti-Union Law [Chronicle of Higher Education]. I only hope this move — based on violations to the 1st (freedom of speech, freedom of religious exercise, freedom of assembly, prohibiting the petition for government redress of grievances) and 14th (citizenship, due process, equal protection) amendments — will finally put the bad law to rest when the federal court makes their ruling.
